Christopher Klein
Chief Executive Officer, Fortune Brands Home & Security
Chris Klein is the Chief Executive Officer of Fortune Brands Home & Security, which includes five operating companies: Moen Incorporated, MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc., Therma-Tru Doors, Simonton Windows, Inc., and Fortune Brands Storage & Security, which includes Master Lock Company and Waterloo Industries. The company generated more than $3.3 billion in net sales in 2011, with roughly 16,000 associates across the USA, Mexico, Canada, and Asia.
Chris joined Fortune Brands in April 2003 as Senior Vice President – Strategy and Corporate Development. In this role, Chris managed all mergers and acquisitions activity, corporate strategy development, capital allocation and human resources. During this period, Chris worked with the CEO and the Board to refine the company’s strategy and helped reshape the company by leading 18 acquisitions and divestitures totaling over $10 billion.
Prior to joining Fortune Brands, Chris held key strategy and operating positions at Bank One Corporation and helped restructure the bank prior to its merger with JP Morgan Chase. He previously spent eight years at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner in the firm’s Chicago office. Chris spent his early career in commercial banking, at both ABN AMRO and First Chicago.
Chris graduated from the University of Iowa’s business school (BBA) in 1985 and earned his MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in 1989.
John Heppner
President and CEO, Fortune Brands Storage & Security
John is responsible for Master Lock Company and Waterloo Industries. Previously, he held a number of key positions over a 19-year career at Master Lock Company, including President and Chief Operating Officer, Executive Vice President - Sales and Marketing, and Vice President - Marketing and New Business. Before joining Master Lock, John was with CNH Global. He has a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
David Lingafelter
President, Moen Incorporated
David has been with Moen since 1990 when he joined the company as Manager of In-Store Service/Retail. David’s other roles have included Vice President and General Manager for Moen’s U.S. Wholesale Business Unit, President - U.S. Faucets, Vice President - Faucet and Sink Marketing, Vice President - Marketing and Product Development, and various product manager roles. Under David’s leadership, Moen was named the EPA’s 2010 WaterSense Manufacturing Partner of the Year. David received an undergraduate degree in economics from Kenyon College and an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University.
David Randich
President, MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc.
Dave joined MasterBrand Cabinets as President in 2012. Dave had been President of Therma-Tru since 2007, after 24 years at Armstrong World Industries where he held a variety of leadership roles, including CEO of the company’s European floor covering business based in Germany. Prior to that, Dave led Armstrong’s European ceilings business based in the UK, served as General Manager of Manufacturing-Building Products, where he was responsible for several plants worldwide, and was Plant Manager in Shanghai, China, and Columbus, Ohio. Dave holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management from Purdue University and an MBA from Mercer University.
Mark Savan
President, Fortune Brands Windows, Inc. and Therma-Tru Corp.
Mark joined Simonton in 2006, and in 2012 his responsibilities expanded to include the role of president of Therma-Tru. Mark also has served as Vice President and General Manager–Accessories & Commercial for Moen. Prior to his role at Moen, he served as Vice President - Strategic Planning & New Business Development for Fortune Brands Home & Hardware. During his tenure at the company, Simonton Windows has been honored to be named the “Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Windows and Doors, Two Years in a Row” by J.D. Power and Associates. Prior to joining Fortune Brands, Mark spent six years in the Consumer and Engineered Products industry practice with the management consulting firm of Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He has both a BS and MS in Optical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
E. Lee Wyatt
Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Fortune Brands Home & Security
Lee joined Fortune Brands Home & Security in June 2011 as Chief Financial Officer. Previously he served as Chief Financial Officer of Hanesbrands. Prior to that, he served as a Vice President of Sara Lee and as Chief Financial Officer of Sara Lee Branded Apparel. He has also served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Sonic Automotive, Inc., and Vice President of Administration and Chief Financial Officer of Sealy Corporation. Lee graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a BS in accounting. He has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis.
Elizabeth Lane
Senior Vice President - Human Resources, Fortune Brands Home & Security
Elizabeth joined Fortune Brands in January 2000 as in-house legal counsel. Since then, she has taken on increasing responsibility, moving to Assistant General Counsel and Vice President, Compensation & Benefits. In 2009, she became Vice President, Human Resources for Fortune Brands. Prior to joining Fortune Brands, she was a partner at the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery and in-house counsel at Amoco. Elizabeth earned her BA from Boston College University and her J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law.
Lauren Tashma
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary, Fortune Brands Home & Security
Lauren oversees the legal and compliance function for Fortune Brands Home & Security and its operating companies. Lauren joined Fortune Brands in 1998 and has held a number of positions with the Fortune Brands legal department since that time. In January, 2006 Lauren was promoted to Vice President and Associate General Counsel with Fortune Brands. Prior to joining Fortune Brands, Lauren was an associate with the law firm of Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon. Lauren earned her BA from Northwestern University and her JD with honors from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law.
Chuck Elias
Senior Vice President - Strategy & Corporate Development, Fortune Brands Home & Security
As senior vice president, strategy & corporate development, Chuck works with FBHS operating unit leadership on strategies across a wide range of strategic initiatives. He also leads the company’s corporate development activities, including mergers & acquisitions. Prior to joining FBHS, Chuck served in senior leadership roles at Supervalu, a $35 billion grocery retailer/wholesaler. Most recently, he was Supervalu’s senior vice president of retail operations. Prior to joining Supervalu, Elias was a managing director for portfolio operations at Ridgeview Capital, a private equity firm. He also held several leadership positions at The Home Depot. Elias holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management, with honors, from the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London, Conn., and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in Boston.
Edward Wiertel
Senior Vice President - Finance, Fortune Brands Home & Security
Ed has responsibility for controllership, financial planning and analysis, and tax. Prior to Fortune Brands Home & Security, he was Vice President and Corporate Controller for Fortune Brands. Prior to Fortune Brands, Ed was a partner at Arthur Andersen and KPMG LLP. In these roles, he provided audit and related financial consulting services primarily to companies in manufacturing, consumer products, and related service industries. Ed has a BS degree from DePaul University in commerce with a concentration in accountancy.
